Hyundai Motor Group Unveils Innovative EV Charging and automatic Parking Systems Concept

Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors Corporation unveiled a youtube video featuring the method of electric vehicle wireless charging system with all the Automated Valet Parking System (AVPS).

The system will give you a convenience to drivers whorrrre confronted with an overcrowding of both parking and charging locations as electric vehicle numbers grow steadily. It relocates fully charged vehicles from charging stations and give other awaiting electric vehicles to charge.

Upon commanding your car to charge using a smartphone, the vehicle will automatically cruise to some vacant wireless charging station. Once the vehicle is fully charged, it will relocate to an alternative vacant parking space using the Automated Valet Parking System, allowing other motor vehicles to charge with the spot. Should the driver requires the automobile, it’s going to then autonomously revisit the location of the driver.

The overall process is conducted by continuous communication between electric vehicle, parking facility, charging system and driver. The parking facility sends location of empty parking spaces and charging stations, while the charging system updates the charging status from the vehicle in real-time.

Hyundai and Kia have decided you’re on commercializing expertise to generate upon the launch of level 4 autonomous vehicle around year 2025. Hyundai and Kia also plan to commercialize autonomous vehicles within smart cities from 2021 by using a goal of launching fully autonomous vehicles by 2030.
